Welcome to Cozy River Retreat, a peaceful year-round escape directly on the Deschutes River, close to Sunriver, Bend and Mount Bachelor in Central Oregon.

Designed for adventure and relaxation in every season, the house combines a beautiful riverside setting with comfortable, high-quality interiors and thoughtful extras throughout. We have also negotiated deals with local suppliers to make your stay even more special.

Paddle straight from the property in summer, explore the forests and mountains in spring and fall, or spend winter days skiing/boarding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing before coming home to get warm and cozy.

Do as much — or as little — as you like.

SUMMER

Step straight onto the Deschutes from our boat dock. Kayak, paddleboard or float the river, hike and bike through the surrounding forests — or spend a lazy afternoon relaxing beside the water in our Adirondack chairs.

FALL

Crisp, colorful forests and quieter trails. Explore Central Oregon by day, then come home to peaceful evenings and spectacular sunsets beside the Deschutes.

WINTER

Mount Bachelor is calling. Ski, snowboard, Nordic ski or grab our snowshoes and explore the snowy forests — then come home, warm up and get cozy.

SPRING

Watch Central Oregon come back to life. Hike quiet trails, explore alpine lakes and volcanic landscapes, then return to peaceful days beside the Deschutes as the warmer weather returns.

The river is at the heart of Cozy River Retreat. Start the morning with coffee overlooking the water, spend the afternoon paddling or floating, then come home, dry off with our super fluffy towels and watch the river drift by.

With direct river access, a private dock, two kayaks, two paddleboards and life jackets provided, getting onto the water couldn't be easier.

Prefer to stay dry? Find a spot in our riverside relaxation area, open a book, watch for wildlife and simply enjoy being on river time.

After a day on the river or in the mountains, Cozy River Retreat is somewhere you'll genuinely want to come home to.

Comfortable, stylish interiors are designed for relaxing together, while quality mattresses, high-quality bedding and thoughtful bedroom touches make a good night's sleep just as important as the day's adventures.

We've tried to think of the little things too — from cozy robes and bathroom essentials to hairdryers, sleep masks and our “Whoops, I Forgot!” boxes for those things that somehow never made it into the suitcase.

Sometimes the best plan is not to go anywhere. Head to the Game Room for a little friendly competition, settle in for a movie night, pull out a board game or simply curl up with a book. With entertainment for children and adults alike, rainy days, snowy evenings and lazy nights at home are all part of the fun.
